  1st u gotta start w/their in house Staffing Co(usually, ACCU althgh othrs), then hope that day u show(or anyothr day u show)u'll hve wrk avail'ble or they'll jst tell u 2hit the road(meaning,sometms work/or NONE@ATALL, all&at any time, evn if ur thr a 6mos or more)..if u come from Philly like many thr do, a van comes&goes @only certain x's which means aftr sitting out 2try to GET ON THE VAN w/all the othr wrkrs in Philly-van only holds like 15 but mite b 30-50, so ur gotta fight2get on it, THEN,u mite b sent back & anothr van(they take van$$ outta ya check everyday btw)mite not show again for 4-8 hrs& I've seen longer than that..then they get hit hard in summer or holidays&they make it mandatory 2stay & fnsh the orders which mite b something like pretzles/cookie-line, nonstop work, 24hrs if need b or until it's ALL fnshd for a whole day&nite(!)(but ur only allowed 40hrs a week,no O.T).so u mite b thr 20 hrs 1day & hve2 come back in same time nite/day as be4 & do anthr 16-20 hrs..u start ur nxt day underslept & waiting 4 a van or bus sometms hrs., in the rain, cold, everyday..if u leave the job, u walk4good..u jst"quit"2them..1)hrs waiting4 bus/van4wrk&backhome, 2)hrs upon hrs(or no hrs)trying2 get wrk, 3)then hrs upon hrs on bus or van 4wrk,& backhome..if u skip 2 many days & esp. 2 often, no excuses, theyll move"othrs"in ur spot when they always easily get anthrp"sucker"..4)HOT as an oven in summer & I wrkd sme HOT places like around steel furnaces..If ur "American", 4get moving up much often b/c they say so&so is bi-lingual(he or she gets it, not u..RACISM!.b/c, bi-lingual has nothing 2do w/mst positions thr, its BS, all is in ENGLISH), meanwhile, 1 job I noted said bi-lingual a must..thn the guy they picked could speak Spanish but ABSOLUTELY NO ENGLISH though..Hmm?,(nor could he read it)-so be in 4 RACISM BLK OR WHITE (ie,if ur American);They show NO pity 4 not completing the"impossible"(evn on some company lines& w/temps&evn actual company employees@x's, they hve NO PITY&FIRE U), 5).4get O.T or consistent 40hrs.;6)Mst of the work IS very physical(but they stick BLACKS alotta x's on the "physical"BS prt of the job, & I'm NOT black, I've heard them SAY IT..theyreF'CKN RACISTS!).6)1dept against anothr, Ive never seen ANYTHNG like it..and 7)DIRTY, EVERYTHNG IS SO FOUL & DIRTY, POOR PROTOCOLS 4CLEANING EVEN THOUGH 1of their biggest customers is(almost ALL)local/regional WAWA'S, EVEN IN P.A., AS WELL AS LISCIO'S. I now reneg frm eating those cookies, pretzles, or other thngs in local WAWA'S aftr seeing wht I saw@uptwn,othrs said the samething constantly..LaBrea Bakery dwn the street is the exact opposite as even UPTWN employees/management agree & bringup(& managmnt is jealous of it b/c they knw it & even bring it up2) & frm what I saw during an interview thr(@LaBreas), the two x's I was thr: clean, organized, not overrun by ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS(as ICE fined LaBrea a few yrs ago 4 tht)...Trust me, Uptown Bakery is not a dream job by any measure, cant depend upon it for hrs/advancmnts as they expect u 2..its also not organized well at all, office-management is outta touch w/workrs as the formers r Americans w/degrees in a separate office building&the workers, barely speak English, dnt understand American procedures, etc. IT JUST SUX OVERALL & IVE WRKD ALOT OF DIFF.TYPE JOBS OVER 20 YRS, NVR GO THR AGAIN, A NIGHTMARE!.I'D GVE IT A ZERO IF I COULD! IF UR AN ILLEGAL-IMMGRNT, IT PRO'BALLY IS THE AMERICAN DREAM, LOL..NO, IT SAD NOT LAUGHABLE!!
